funding from research grants. In FY17 it was $2.5B, one billion dollars more than the next closest university (Michigan). And that is just the expenditures, not the grants received. So, how much of this $15.7B was won in research grants to Hopkins, not to mention University of Maryland School of Medicine down the street.
