parking space in a parking lot. My car's bumper was dented pretty good. Other car didn't appear to have noticeable damage other than some marks/scratches on bumper.

I was able to get my bumper pulled out without any issue. Some cosmetic damage but whatever.

Left a note with my name an number. Week goes by, never heard anything, thought I was in the clear.

Get a call from my insurance this morning that the lady I backed into made an insurance claim and her insurance reported it to my insurance. I was hoping to just pay whatever was needed outta pocket but the lady never called me.
