if they were forced to. But since it's the opposite way, where we have situations where the military brass is literally trying to stop the building of additional tanks, we'll never get to see if we can get more for less.
Any kind of behemoth budget like that is going to be riddled with waste. China, on the other hand, focuses on ways to neutralize our greatest assets. An example would be that supersonic missile capable of sinking aircraft carriers.
