Heard a siren this morning on an overpass over I-35. Looked in every direction to determine where it was coming from and what I should do.
People are clueless about what to do and often, due to the quieter auto interiors of today, are unaware of what is going on around them.
Once came up behind a young woman on I-435 who was oblivious to the lights, siren and wigwags and even the airhorn. She was camped out in the passing lane and I finally had to pass her on the right and feared she would suddenly hear the siren and habitually swerve right. Got past her. Wasn't happy.
Not the first time that had happened. Passed a car on the right in Olathe to look over and see the driver and passenger using sign language oblivious to my presence.
