I admit I have not looked into the details of the new green deal..is it the intent to replace all carbon, or reduce carbon significantly. I am not sure how many credible people think we will move to an all green energy source world. So I would agree that will never be achieved.
His other work is some smoke and mirrors work stating how difficult everything is to get done....yes, it will require massive investments over time, but technology has proven over and over that the cost of production always decreases with more investments. That has led to the disappearance of many types of suppliers over the years....we see it everywhere. As usual, those suppliers will try to massage data and go to government to prevent its loss, while a few of them will embrace the change and run with it.
One example..taxis...most taxis are trying to regulate Uber out, or at least cost them a lot of money. Some taxis have actually moved to some app based models to better compete.
Energy is heading down the same road....the disrupters are coming..like it or not...those in power now have three choices...invest in the disruption technology and control their own destiny. Sit around and die, or use government to keep the disrupters out ..
