I do believe more policing and government force leads to more killings.

Gangs control drugs and guns because they are illegal. And they will fight each other for more control.

Make them legal, and they no longer have the power of ownership and distribution.

Show people that they have an opportunity in this world and the other problems are very much reduced....continuing to give them barely enough to survive (liberal welfare), or tearing apart families (Conservative policing force), both will lead to the continuation of what we have now.

yes, both sides will help at times, but will not really change the overall culture
