article….more police, more arrests..etc.

Is that for free?

My societal solution would be to take away many of the laws that are indirectly forcing these people to live in these situations...the biggest one being drug laws...which give the power of drug trade to gangs..which rule them through various criminal activities...and ruin many of these neighborhoods.

Also...when society tries to "solve problems" they end up creating more problems.
