Since the last century here in AR. Most states are paying less than 20 years ago but requiring more paperwork.

In AR they just added 3 insurance companies to admin part of the Medicaid program. So now we get to bill, do quarterly reviews, and pre-authorizations for 4 entities instead of 1. Admin cost will double in our clinic while reimbursement rates will likely go down.

Oh, and we have been waiting since March 1 to get reimbursed for about 20% of our medicaid patients. It's a cluster, but we refuse to abandon the kids.
