Seems MU thought the gift terms were distasteful, and didn't want to be held hostage by ideology.
It seems that they couldn't handle free market disciple's of Ludwig Von Mises school of economics.
Aka, free markets and limited govt are so disturbing to MU, they lost $5 million over it.
