Mueller doesn't want to testify, because he knows he will be asked to explain the discrepancies and falsehoods that litter his dossier. Particularly, those alleged incidents of potential obstructive behavior that were mischaracterized in order to portray sinister intent. The last thing he wants to do is have to explain these matters in detail.


Then there is the matter of Mueller's fragile mental acuity. He is no longer the capable and confident witness Dems hoped for. The veteran FBI head might want to review the Federal obstruction statutes in light of Barr's investigation of the ICA.
