and second, the "SF Bay Area" isn't a city, it's a region.

Its exact boundaries vary depending on the source.

SJ is nearly an hour away from SF, and has a larger population than SF. They're different cities in every sense of the word.

But again, it really doesn't matter since the Sharks haven't won a Stanley Cup this century.
