While I totally agree with what you are saying, I also think perception and notoriety is what the kids want at the college level and KY & Duke are the two right now that put you in the biggest spotlight.
Of course, that can backfire too. Some of these kids that see themselves as the next LeBron might not like it if the get to Duke and find themselves playing 3rd, 4th chair or more behind the likes of Zion and R. J..
I even wonder about Barrett this year who is on pace to become first underclassmen in NCAA Division 1 history to average at least 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game. He is 2nd chair at Duke!
