11/13 SEC teams were playing on Sunday in the regional championship round. Only TAMU and Arky were eliminated before the last day. So we had 11 of the last 32 teams fighting for the super regionals. No other conference came remotely close.

Great depth from top to bottom, which no other P5 conference comes close to. But no great teams this year IMO.

Florida’s anemic offense is going to kill them in the WCWS. And Bama, with Cornell apparently dinged up, gave up a ton of runs to ASU and Texas and was lucky to advance. Their freshman ace Fouts got hit hard, let’s see what she does in the pressure cooker in Ok City. They get Oklahoma in their next game, and the winner of that gets the winner of Ok St and Florida. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see both Florida and Bama drop into the losers bracket right away and the two Big 12 teams battle it out for the 2-0 record and drivers seat in that half of the bracket.

In the other half of the bracket it’s the 3 PAC 12 powers knocking themselves off, with Minny the odd team out.
