called them, sat on hold for 30 minutes, told them specifically what I needed and they said they'd send it to me...a week or two later got their letter, had the wrong form in it. Went to the library hoping to find it there, they had everything but what I needed. Called the IRS again, waited for 30 minutes, told them they sent me the wrong form and asked for the correct one. They sent me the same wrong form they had sent the first time. Finally went into an H&R Block and they gave it to me, even though I wasn't using them.
If you call them for clarification on a subject, and they give you the wrong answer, you're liable. It's the most typical 'big government' department. Power without accountability.
