mainly because I didn't grow up playing hockey and was always more of a baseball / football / basketball fan.

Just like NBA basketball, the season is way too long and most of the regular season games are meaningless. The effort's just not there as compared to the playoffs.

But...I always did love watching playoff hockey and I'm the most happy for all of the really really loyal Blues fans in St. Louis. There are a ton of them.
