Question for Bruce in LA or others that saw...

The first game against UCLA yesterday, which we won 5-1.
Did it seem strange to you that the UCLA coach started their #2 pitcher against us, then promptly yanked her after just 2 hitters and replaced her with their ace Garcia? What kind of confidence does that show they have in their #2? Of course, we hit Garcia pretty well and chased her from the game after the huge Wilmes HR.
Also thought it was interesting, not to mention stupid, to keep Garcia in the game in game 2, with a 12 run lead. Did they really not think their #2 pitcher could hold a 12 run lead with just 3 outs to go? Really?
