Tough grader...

When you are expecting 8.0 runs per game, you do understand, don’t you, that the 2 best offenses in the nation this year averaged right at 8.0 runs per game, and the #10 offense averaged 6.5 runs per game, right? Pretty high expectations to say we should be scoring 8 runs a game based on our talent.

And you do realize, don’t you, that LA inherited a pitching staff that had zero players in the top 40 in ERA among SEC pitchers, right? And there were 6 pitchers available this year, not 7. You are complaining that she didn’t turn Schockley, Krueger, and Scates into great pitchers in the few months she had to work with them? Really?

I think she did a remarkable job coaching up Norman, Gasper, and Daniel, and got the most anyone could possibly get out of them, and those were the only 3 pitchers who are even close to being effective D1 pitchers. No disrespect to anyone intended, but there is an old saying about not being able to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

I give LA an A or A- considering what she had to work with.
