hitters towards the lower part of the line up. Like Moore. The downside is over the course of the year that person will get fewer at bats than other players. The upside of course is you don’t have a weak area in the lineup that other teams can exploit.
Wilmes order is a tough call. She is an ideal 3 hole hitter. But she is a great lead off too, almost never strikes out, good speed, makes contact, can beat out a bunt and also drive the ball in the gap.
Next year Wilmes and Rollin will be fine, our best two pure hitters. It’s everyone else coming back that needs to pick up theirs offensive game. Hopefully a few of the freshmen position players can make an impact. And don’t forget Kessinger should be back. She could be a real key in the middle of the line up if she comes back with no ill effects from her injury.
