Correction -- it has been said many times on Tigerboard that KU got adidas to pay 'the refs'.
Or, wait … it's adidas who has been paying 'the refs' off? It wasn't the Big 12 who instituted the program? My understanding, as a long time observer of this forum, was that it was the Big 12 who put in the 'officiating advantage'. Because we 'brought in revenue'. Right? Now you're saying WE paid off adidas and THEY paid off the Big 12 'refs'?
Well, much are we paying them?
We first started partnering with adidas in 2005. What is the explanation, then, for the Big 12 titles won by our program in 1997, 1998, 2002, and 2003?
Is the Big 12 oblivious of this program? Have they just blindly acquiesced to it all these years? If so, why?
In all these years has there not been ONE guy who's worked as a Big 12 'ref' who has said 'I'm not going to do this, it's wrong' and blown the whistle on this program? Guess not, huh?
Again, gentlemen, the very best part about being a KU basketball fan is seeing how our success drives you people to such wonderfully nutty neurotic extremes.
