This 2020 election is going to be a fight for independent voters and those that voted from Trump because of what he promised. Some of the latter will stick no matter what, but a good portion of independent voters and 2016 Trump voters can be carried over to the other side with a guy like Biden.

Hillary, as flawed as she was and is, still carried the general by three million votes.

Biden is from PA originally, a crucial state the left needs and can tout a blue collar upbringing.

He knows foreign policy (which is why Obama picked him for VP) and will be more left center than any other viable candidate.
