out of trouble. Both have terrific arms and ideal size. But Lock has better pocket presence which I think will carry over to the NFL. Lock throws a better deep ball but both can make all the throws. Neither are very accurate.
The negative on Gabbert, however, is that he gets dancy with pressure that isn't coming and/or that he doesn't pick up actual pressure. He was that way at Mizzou and it carried over to the NFL. Lock picks up pressure better although he often evades but then tries to make a low percentage pass. A lot of QB struggle out of college to just throw the ball away, so maybe Drew will fix that. Most of his worst lowlights are dumb throws right into obvious coverage, many on the run evading pressure.
I think Lock will be a better pro QB than Gabbert, but hopefully he is drafted into the right situation. That was not helpful at all for Blaine and I think it stunted his growth being thrown into the fire in his first year with the Jags.
