As a lifelong KC resident and Royals fan, this is a great time for us to be rebuilding. Need all of the high draft picks we can get. Doesn't matter whether you go 60-102 or 50-112, not making the playoffs, and in a battle with Miami for the top pick.

Basically feel like the AL window for the Royals is currently closed with Houston, the Yankees (when healthy), a resurgent Tampa, Seattle, Minnesota and clearly better teams in Cleveland and Texas all MUCH better and furthur along than KC.

Best thing for us to do is restock farm system in earnest as began last year-tons of pitching in particular.

There are actually some decent position players emerging-Mondesi @ SS, Dozier @ 3B, N. Lopez (2B), O'Hearn @ 1B. Soler can fit as a DH. Viloria (C), and rebuild the OF with Khalil Lee, E. Hernandez, S. Matias. Keep Whit around as a utility guy.

Just gotta be patient and let time run it's course.
