They're gonna wait for Beard to be done, then make him say no (which he probably will, he's got a great deal at Tech, and probably has an eye on Texas in the future).

Musselman isn't really a good fit, and this has been making the rounds at a lot of other schools going through coaching searches:

That leaves a very uncomplicated hire in Alford. He doesn't require a buyout, and is likely still a better coach than Mike Anderson, but will be a very ho-hum hire for them.
