aware of collusion in late 2016 then tried to cover up to protect said cronies (most notably Don Jr)
For The Donald this became more about his reputation and the legitimacy of this win.

I believe he knew about wiki leaks and Dems emails because Don Jr was in communication with Russian agents and Jr can't keep his mouth shut and told daddy
