Uh, no. From the outside, that is still a second division SEC team.
My Illinois buddies are doing the same kind of projections. Not sure I agree with them, either. Illinois returns Ayo, Frazier, Giorgi (who are the three leading scorers), plus Feliz, Jones, Griffin and add top big man Kofi Cockburn. Rumor of a former Underwood power forward joining as a fifth year, too. Is that a top 25 team? That’s a lineup with 2 five stars, 2 four stars and Giorgi, the Euro surprise.
I will wait and see. I think fans get a little blinded by their own team and overrate the talent.
