You want to look at this years problem, look no further than the 2015 and 2016 recruiting cycles.

Mizzou missed on
Tatum, Anunoby, and Shamet who are in the NBA. All from Missouri
Also missed on
Morgan, Cook and Sneed. Also from Missouri.

If 2 of Cook, Morgan and Sneed were at Mizzou now, then we would be watching a team compete for the tournament.
