I had the privilege of seeing some pretty damn good basketball as a high school graduate of Lindbergh High School...7 foot Ray Lavender & George Faerber in the mid-late 60's followed by Steve Blind & Gary Link in the early 70's, but John Brown and Al Eberhard were another level.
Faerber did, however, start in the national championship game with Rick Mount when Purdue went against Lew Alcindor and UCLA in 1969.
