a developer that he would vote for their plan...
IF the developer donated money to the Columbia Community Land Trust (a non-profit that specializes in creating permanently affordable housing options in Columbia)
The deal never got made, because of the backlash, and potential legality
But City Councilman Ian Thomas wouldn't have received any benefit from the deal personally. The low income residents of Como would have benefited.
Is what the councilman did unethical?
