changes for the big week coming up. You just can’t keep a .138 hitter in the 3 spot. We have 3 starters in the line up who are hitting a collective .193 through the first 2 weekends (Wilmes, Moore, Bailey). I’m trying not to over react. Some players get off to slow starts and then get it going and are ok. You pull a kid too fast and it hurts their confidence. Some kids just have to hit themselves out of a slump, and how do you do that on the bench? It’s a tough decision. It’s what LA gets paid to do. I’m not saying bench anyone yet, although I’d love to see Garrison, Rollin, Decker, Rabbe get more at bats.
I haven’t seen enough games to know who is the better defensive player in RF between George, G. Garrison, and McDannold. I’d love to get GG more playing time though. She has such a potential upside with her blazing speed, and she’s looked much better swinging away at pitches as opposed to slapping exclusively. We have several good options in RF, I’m more concerned about 2B and C right now.
