MU has admitted that Yolanda committed the violations during the course of her employment.
Yolanda told the NCAA Enforcement Staff that she felt "pressured" to get and keep the kids eligible.
Respondeat Superior (roughly translated "let the master answer") is a long establish legal principal. It holds that an employer is generally responsible for the actions of an employee or agent acting within the scope of their employment. A tutor cheating for a player she's tutoring isn't enough to take her outside of her "scope of employment" even if she's been trained and instructed to not cheat.
Essentially, a school is in the position of being a guarantor of the good conduct of its athletic staff. I.e. if the head coach gives kids money above and beyond the allowable amounts, the school is still responsible.
