I'm not against business having pricing policies however

It's only that these compassionate, caring, concerned "business people" really thought that human nature can be repealed and they can be in business giving stuff away and asking for donations.
And i acknowledge that the pricing is not really socialist since the government has no role in it, but the theory is socialist/communist and stems from the old marxist adage of
To each according to his needs,
From each according to his means.
You can nit pick about the definition of socialism here, be sure to email the magazine and the author about that, but it is naive socialists who think that crap will work.
