but not infallible. I can't begin to explain why cells don't divide perfectly in every instance of life, why and how some families pass on Tay-Sachs etc, but the process of DNA Replication (the process whereby DNA tries to repair itself) seems to intelligent to be a Darwinian "trial and error process". So, a DNA strand actively trying to repair a mutation seems to me to suggest a more urgent response than the long, passive, and relatively modest changes witnesses by Darwinian evolution
