Sunday Softball

Just a couple quick thoughts.
I really am more relieved than jubilant. Very nerve racking.Biggest softball win in years (for me) other than regional and super regional games.
Here's what I did to help!!
Friday night the entire 28 team members were sitting in the stands watching the Arizona St vs. Western Michigan game which preceded our game. I walked up to them and for a couple minutes gave then a lecture and pep talk about the rivalry. They listened. During my entire speech, Regan Nash was nodding enthusiastically and smiling.
Before our game against Oregon St. the coaching staff was in the dugout before the players arrived. I walked up to the dugout and said, "I know this must be getting redundant but blah, blah, blah." Coach A. smiled and assured me they were all over the importance of the game.
But SHE EVIDENTLY DID NOT REALLY READ THE MEMO OR LISTEN TO ME. All I really wanted of her was to use her coaching skill to put us in the best position to win. She did not do that. Putting Eli Daniel in in relief in a one run game in the 7th inning vs. ku was inexcusable. If we had lost, I would never have forgiven her.
Criticize me for making too big a deal out of the ku game if you wish, I don't care.
