suburbs I think are the most populous part of the state. It is a government trough.
Bureaucrats, beltway bandits, and others dependent upon the federal government for their livelihoods. Lived up there for many years. It used to be a nice place to live.
Northern Virginia controls the money, and the vote. Virginia is a blue state.
