Will Virginia's Gov. 'Coonman' Northam survive?

Stayed away from news of current events over the weekend, but this story of Northam's racist past (is it only in his past?) and the excuses he has trotted out is amazing. How did the Dems miss his back story, a resume replete with blackface and Klan hoods? The Dems have dedicated the past two decades to repurpose themselves as the party of social and racial division. They foment themes of identity politics in order to divide and conquer. Dems have painted themselves into a corner with Gov. Coonman. He must be destroyed and soon, lest their primary election strategy come unhinged.
