Thankfully, I have not had to make such a decision, but I know families that have...there are many life threatening conditions a child may experience...cancer, accidents, cogenital defects, disease, etc. When the child is too young or incapacitated, parents are faced with such decisions, including whether the treatment (bc of the pain or even money) outweighs the prognosis of recovery.

I know we want to make sweeping opinions on the subject, especially when we can easily distance ourselves from the actual decision...but I don't believe the issue is black and white...and I also believe that these decisions are hard and are not made on a whim
