How about we rewrite immigration laws so that those who come in - through a fully modernized and staffed immigration system GET the papers they need, the registrations they need. Put a fee on it to pay for that system - and thus ENCOURAGE immigration and doing it right. Get them is with carrots not push them out with sticks.

Everybody wins. No need of a wall if folks understand that if they go through the gate, they get what they need. And x yrs following implementation you are deported immediately if you fail the paper test.
