The fact is the Chiefs had one of the worst Ds last year.....it was blamed on the players so they devoted a whole draft class and some high priced free agents while letting several veterans go....essentially turning over 50% of the D. A D that was now supposed to be tough and able to stop the run.....they instead were the worst or 2nd to worst D in the NFL. And there are 4 Pro Bowlers on that side of the ball. Sutton was given a reprieve to show he could fix it this year......we saw what happened. Getting fired sucks but when you’re stubborn and won’t see what is happening in front of you, what do you expect. Not replacing Scandrick sooner, just as one example. What would have happened if that move would have happened sooner? We all were screaming for it...yet Sutton waiting until the most difficult and important part of the season to put rookies in.....rookies that could have been getting experience all year. It would have been ludicrous to bring Sutton back.
