because fiat currencies don't enter the economy evenly and because they inflate asset prices (i.e. inflate the value of those who already own a bunch of stuff).
Fiat currencies form part of the bad side of income inequality -- the type that results from centralized political favors. The type that has led to Washington D.C. being the richest area in the United States without producing many tangible goods.
The natural and acceptable side of income inequality -- that which results from the inequal productivity of different people -- is what you are sort of touching on, and that's not a problem at all.
