interest rates for the long term are the most important things in the Country today.

A bit tongue in cheek, but that is the reality. If you have something to protect, the most important thing in life is to protect what you have, not to worry about what's in someone else's best interest.

After one secures their own future (and that of their family) all good to open the discussion to what can we do to help mankind. That, IMO is the way it works.
