I think this falls under the category of, be careful what you ask for. She created a false narrative in her mind, full of glamour and expectation, but reality shook her to her core, and all of her vain imaginations were crushed. I think she going to have a hard time overcoming her race hatred. It's certainly a massive blow to her ego.
