however, republicans sold the tax cuts as tax cuts and JOBS. Unemployment remains largely unchanged since the cuts were made law, labor participation is stagnant, wages are rising slowly, etc.

If the GOP wants to sell lies, that's fine, but it was sold as Tax Cuts and Jobs. With the extra money for businesses wages should be increasing at a greater than marginal rate and unemployment/labor participation should be impacted.
