It feels like she recruits the same 6’0, 6’1” combo wing that’s is neither dominant from 3 or in the post and is ill suited for an offense that you better shoot a high percentage from 3 pt land and be able to dribble drive with superior athleticism. The lack of overall quickness hurts on defense too.
It seems like there is a lot of wishful thinking going on with the staff but bottom line they were better trying to be bruts that rebounded, hustled and outwilled you with some interior presence. That is what made them a popular watch. I realize all those players are gone now, other than Sophie and Amber but they miss Michaellis, McDowell, Frericks (the most) and to an extent Porter.
Everybody talks about positionless basketball but that isn’t what made MU WBB matter the past few years.
