That may come back to haunt Coach Anderson if we go 2-2 there against Oregon and Pitt (or worse) and finish 1, 2, 3 games under .500 and miss the NCAA tournament. In retrospect playing Oregon an extra two times doesn't make much sense considering we play all the PAC 12 powers plus SEC powers.
Adding the SEC teams in, we play:
25/55 games against teams that finished in the top 15 in last years RPI
39/55 games against teams that finished in the top 51 in last years RPI
It's hard to believe that schedule won't be one of the 10 toughest in the nation.
If it comes down to barely finishing .500 or not (as it may well), scheduling Oregon and Pitt for the Mizzou tournament instead of a breather against lesser competition may have serious consequences.
