It sucks in the climate of waivers being granted left and right to not have Dru Smith get his. The team would be in better shape with him but can still be decent without him. Despite his year at Illinois this is a big opportunity for Mark Smith to redeem himself. Last year most here were clamoring for him to sign here. Let's hope he shows last year was just a needed wake up call for him to work on his game with this fresh start and system being a better fit for him. I'm pulling for him to be a huge surprise along with the additional players seeing their 1st year under CM.
