talking to a kU fan and he claims to be friends with one of kUs lawyers.
According to the lawyer they are trying to put together a self imposed punishment to get ahead of the NCAA. What it looks like now is they are going to boot the players mentioned, Townsend gone for sure, any other assistants that might come up are gone, Bill suspended for some games and forfeit wins. The lawyer said he wasn't sure that would be enough though.
I doubt it goes that far. My guess is Bill and ku will pin it all on rouge Townsend and fire him with cause but settle the ensuing lawsuit for a huge payout (payoff to keep silent). I also guess Silvio doesn't get to play. Basically Townsend and Silvio take the fall and bill and kU claim they had no idea. The ncaa goes light on them and doesn't make the forfeit wins or sit out postseasons because they were the victim.
