Here is the reason voter suppression should be an issue

The most fervent supporters of certain parties, who represent 15-20% on each side, will always vote. 75% of this board will always vote (and likely along party lines -- no matter what). The disenchanted will only vote when motivated. Its far easier to win an election, especially if you are Republican, when most people dont or cant show up to vote.
Thats the concern. I know you arent worried, because it slightly benefits your side. Just like you arent worried about Russian meddling... because it benefited your side.
But those of us in the middle are very worried about how the GOP is handling gerrymandering and voter suppression.
