and btw, if they DID change their stories their credibility would instantly be shot.

you may not care but i did do SVU investigations for 2 plus years.

here's what would happen. first of all as an investigator, you'd have to think long and hard and probably consult a prosecutor to determine if the allegation was even a felony which would have no statute of limitations or a misdemeanor which would have a 1-year statute of limitations or possibly even an infraction.

i think there is a specific reason Ford claims she thought BK was going to kill her b/c I think her allegation MIGHT, it's iffy, but MIGhT fit the elements of attempted sexual assault under Maryland law which would be a felony.

for all practical purposes, the crime which she described would NEVER be treated as a felony. NEVER.

but since this is all politics you'd be forced to jump through the hoops.

after that, I'd interview each one and get a formal statement from each one. presumably, nobody would change their story and then the case would promptly be inactivated for lack of evidence and corroboration

which is exactly where we are today.

but hey, if you want to waste some poor investigator's time and the county's money then by all means.
