Won the Cards first Texas League champ, too.

Awarded manager of the year multiple times across different minor league teams.

Been the manager at three stops for the Cards (Johnson City, Springfield (AA) and Memphis (AAA)).

I mean, I get the reaction that they didn't need to do this now. There are shades of just repeating the Matheny experiment (internal hire), but Schildt actually has many years of success within the organization.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
