a low profile...yet the seemed to be drawn to trump & his campaign (what is that saying - "birds of a feather...")

As for the "tax audit" question - the reason it wasn't raised in a "tax audit" (or identified), is that Manafort went to great lengths to conceal his activities. I'm sure this will be pointed out in his upcoming money laundering trial.
